Chance it?

Do you play it safe or take a chance?

It was a question that stared at me from the screen on my computer - I tried not to pay attention to it and yet my mind could not escape its call, so I responded "depends on what you have to lose by chancing it & what you have to gain. Go with the one with the greatest reward!"

5:30 am - I find "play'n safe is for cowards, if your chance it, what really is there to loose?"

Innocently enough, it is just a question, yet it reveals so much about the people who comment, their personality, their attitudes.

Perhaps I am a coward - at least based on these standards. Being called a coward (even if not directly) stings, knowing there is a grain of truth to the words stings even more.

Coward or fool-guess it depends on the end result.

Do you take a chance or play it safe?

It depends. Usually I ask myself, what would I regret more? Taking the chance or not taking the chance?

i never play it safe. i never have, and honestly, i probably won't ever. there is something about my life-- i've always taken the "long way" to figure things out, jumping in before really testing the waters.

sigh. i hate that about myself. but i can't let go enough not to.

know what i mean?

Mostly play it safe--take a few chances when I really feel like I should--in my gut, you know?

I'm not much of a chance-taker. Safe is good! lol

play it safe now-a-days . . . I have kids now . . . in my younger years - always a chance baby!

I'm with tootie. I like to ask myself "Will I regret doing or not doing this in the future?"

But since I'm (fairly) young with no kids, and a boyfriend that can support us (although there will be no shopping, etc), I can take a lot of chances that some people can't!
